The project concerns the design, financing, construction and operation of a 200MW hydro power plant at Sahofica, on the Onive river, in the central-east part of Madagascar. The plant is expected to generate an annual production of 1,500 GWh. The site is located at the latitude of 19°45’ South and the longitude of 47°52’ East.

Mission:

• ESG coordination and technical assistance to the Energy Platform.
• Supervision and coordination of the preparation of environmental and social assessments.
• Stakeholder consultation.
• Presentation of results and discussion with donors.
• Preparation and implementation of ESMP and ESAP.
