The present study of ''Preparation of the Master Plan of Solid Waste Management of the City of Djibouti'' is in line with the policy of the State in terms of urban waste management, sanitation and preservation of the quality of public hygiene and the environment. The mission concerns the preparation of the Master Plan of Solid Waste Management of the City of Djibouti, accompanied by a study on the characterization of waste including the three communes of this city: Ras-Dika, Boulaos and Balbala. The time frame of this master plan refers to the period 2022-2035/ To support the implementation of the various components of the mission, the strengthening and support of the beneficiary's capacities must be apprehended. The general objective of this project is to build a sustainable strategy for the waste management issue, adapted to the local context, and to improve the living conditions of the populations.

Mission:

Phase 1: Diagnosis of the current and prospective situation:

• Characterise the current waste situation in the city of Djibouti.
• Establish projections according to observed or foreseeable trends.
• Propose operational recommendations based on these elements.

Phase 2: Definition of the waste management master plan:

• Choice of strategic planning Strategic planning of the Master Plan

Phase 3: Drawing up the 5-year action plan :

• Definition of the 2022-2025 action plan, implementing the first phase of the waste management master plan.
